Familiar words are spoken "When the time is right" Yet, the years seem to escape me and somehow the chase continues Painful experiences has got me worried that I have impaired sight Faithfully I ask god to repair my eyes, spirit and virtues Send me an angel, for lord I will patiently wait for her flight Why has this task been so difficult? Why no menus? With ingredients I would have the ability to run in fright. I understand this is to much to ask, Just send me one without a mask With lifes trialz and tribulations, I admit my mind has strayed Once full of love for a beautiful girl to cherish But after lies, meaningless promises, and my heart slayed Fantasies of two spirits intertwined, seems to perish Too many times I have been betrayed It's all been banished for this bill has been paid I look toward you in the sky and continue to pray And believe that true love will be found in someone, someday May her thoughts, actions, and promises be true And the kisses she places on my face, actually allow our souls to embrace Surely this mixture will make the perfect brew Knowing this can be mine, I refuse to accept defeat and change my pace.
