I fell from my boat and into the raging sea. I was drowning in the ocean; is there someone to rescue me? But you a friend did not think you could do anything, for my weight was too heavy and you were just a string. So you a friend threw in your string and decided to give your best try. Others who cared gathered together and many came and stood by. So all who cared threw in their strings each thinking they couldn’t do anything. So as the strings thrust around in the sea, some of the strings became tangled around me. Some of the strings I reached out for, there were strings form the boat and strings from the shore. The ocean grew more violent you wouldn’t think there would be hope, then while tossed about in the ocean the strings twisted into a rope. So all the strings that didn’t think they could do anything slowly pulled me back to shore, and now we see what each of our strings are for. So if you know someone drowning in the ragging sea, don’t think your strings to weak and then just leave him be. For where there are strings there is always hope, that all the strings will form a rope.

Drop a pebble in the water: just a splash, and it is gone; But there's half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on, Spreading, spreading from the center, flowing on out to the sea. And there is no way of telling where the end is going to be.

If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don’t If you like to win but think you can’t, It’s almost a cinch you won’t.

Life has its ups and downs, Days full of smiles Days full of frowns. Its full of trust, honesty and respect, Somewhere along the way fantasy and reality intersect, Trying is never to late, But there may be a length of time to wait. It’s hard to tell wrong from right, Life is one big test, one big fight. We all have our time in the spotlight, Which lets us know we have done something right. Dreams can come true all you have to do is try, Weak ones get stronger and the strongest ones cry. Loyalty and determination is it all right there, One day victory and success will be right here. I once took a psychology class and happened to get called upon to answer the question, Russell, is the glass half full or half empty? Having never heard the analogy up to that point, I quickly answered that the glass was half empty and I then was immediately told that this is an example of one having a pessimistic attitude or disposition. Of course this did not sit well with me, knowing that I am actually a highly optimistic person. I thought for a few minutes as the class continued, then raised my hand and was called upon.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, just as fair,

When you look in a mirror, you see you, right? Wrong you see what you want you to see-- The good looking guy,the smart guy,the guy That's in touch with himself and the world. Thats really there if its not you? If you could see past the skin, the hair, The flesh and bone, to the soul, the mind, And the heart, how would you look then? Would you see a man who really understands anything about life, happiness, love? Would you see a man who knows how imperfect he is? A man who is offensive? A man who is capable of love? Of caring? Of compassion? You know... It's funny, cause the only one that can Answer that question is the man Staring back at you! -HENSLEE- |

After a while you learn the subtle difference Between holding a hand and chaining a soul, And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning And company doesn't mean security, And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts And presents aren't promises, |
